Abstract

The article provides an overview of the energy sector of the Syrian Arab Republic, the problems and obstacles faced by the electricity sector during the war, an analysis of energy sources and their representation in the Syrian energy sector.

The analysis of available renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, wind energy and hydroelectric power plants, the possibility of their use and the assessment of the contribution of each of them to the Syrian energy sector is presented.

Analyzed: electricity production in Syria for several years and found out the types of stations suitable for operation in the conditions of the Syrian Arab Republic; the real state of the Syrian energy sector and the ways of its development.
