The Specifics of Holding an International Scientific Conference on the Basis of the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute under Pandemic Conditions in the Online Format

Abstract

The specifics of holding an international scientific conference under pandemic conditions in the online format, and the importance of the conference topic are described. The following opportunities are pointed out as advantages of the online format: the possibility to hold a mass event during the pandemic, participation of both Russian and foreign speakers; recording the conference meetings with subsequently distributing the records to conference participants and interested persons, and the most comfortable interaction of participant scientists. The most significant drawback of holding a conference in this format is insufficient awareness about operation of the Cisco Webex computer program.
